Bracka Chapel
The chapel is covered with a cross-ribbed vault with the monogram ‘Maria” in the keystone. Two extremely valuable works of late Renaissance art are here. The altar from 1612, stone, polychromous. In the predella there are bas-relief scenes of the Annunciaton and Adoration of Sheperds, in the central zone there is a sculpture of the Virgin Mary on a crescent. On the other side there is a stone and polychromous tombstone of Bishop Jan Stisch (+1608). In the central part there is a carved figure of a lying bishop on pontifical vestments. In the entrance arcade, a richly topped grate with bishop Stich’s coat of arms and the date of 1608 painted on a sheet metal.
